Swimming Lessons

Hundreds of children have learned how to swim with Suzey Frank through the Orcas Island Recreation Program. Many come back to improve on their skills. Suzey has a talent for connecting and communicating with children, effectively teaching skills, pushing to the next step, and making sure each child feels safe. Her enthusiasm is contagious!

We have a lottery of names that we pick from. If you would like your child's name in the lottery for the next session, please call the Orcas Island Recreation Program (376-5339) and let us know your child's name, age, and abilities.

Without a public swimming pool, we are fortunate that this private club -- Orcas Gym & Athletics -- provides the opportunity for island children to learn how to swim and feel confident in water.
