Seed Balls!
Friday, June 27
1-3pm
Meet at the F.E.A.S.T. garden site, center of town next to The Kitchen
It’s like making snowballs — but with seeds and dirt — basically it’s
fun at any age.
Donations go to support the F.E.A.S.T. program
Where do you want to see plants growing? With compost, clay and seeds we will be able to make compact, transportable habitat for seeds to flourish in. Seed combinations for flowers, food, medicinal. Throw these seed balls in abandoned lots, sides of the road, in the garden and watch the boundaries of the garden expand.
F.E.A.S.T. (Farm Education and Sustainability for Teens) is a summer long program focusing on sustainable living skills; introducing concepts such as: food preservation & distribution, organic farming, natural building, alternative energy systems, leadership development, bio-remediation, and wilderness education.
