Coffelt Farm Field Trip

Children and their families (including grandparents) are invited for an interesting and fun field trip. We will walk the Coffelt 's farm and look at the variety of activities that take place while talking about how the farm is working towards sustainability. Discover more about the activities and products of the farm, including grass fed beef and lamb, rotational grazing, use of wool, etc. August at the farm is somewhat quiet, but we should have a Jersey calf and cow, the sheep, pigs, pastured poultry, laying hens, the orchard, and lots in the garden... All ages six and over are welcome. The walk/talk takes at least an hour as we visit all the animals and there are usually many questions. We'll take a lunch break, and enjoy a bit more exploration after lunch.
Participants must RSVP so we know who's going. By donation to the Orcas Rec. Program.
